MONID - Modeling network for severe infectious diseases

The Modeling Network for Severe Infectious Diseases is a research network funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) consisting of ten research networks, three of which are associated, and a superordinate coordination office, which was launched in May 2022.

The focus of the modeling network is to strengthen the interdisciplinary exchange of leading scientists in this field.

In addition, the network is committed to promoting young modelers and young scientists in order to sustainably strengthen modeling expertise in Germany.

The modeling network for serious infectious diseases is the direct point of contact for inquiries from politicians, especially with regard to the current pandemic situation.
