The newly founded “Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Disease Dynamics”(IMMIDD) at the University of Münster invites you to its inaugural symposium, which will take place on July 10, 2025 in Münster . The event is entitled “From Chaos to Cohesion – The Future of Infections Disease Modeling” and serves to kick off the collaboration between different scientific disciplines at the University of Münster and beyond.
Scientific presentations by international speakers and interesting panel discussions will focus on the role of infectious disease modeling in the COVID-19 pandemic and how collaboration between scientific disciplines can help to understand the past and prepare for the future.
In addition to presentations and panel discussions, the program also includes networking opportunities. Speakers include Prof. Dr. Niel Hens from Hasselt University, who is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Modeling Network for Major Infectious Diseases (MONID).
Invited speakers are:
- Mirjam Kretzschmar (UMC Utrecht, Netherlands)
- Niel Hens (University of Hasselt, Belgium)
- Richard Boucherie (University of Twente, Netherlands)
- Michael Meyer-Hermann (Helmholtz Center for Infection Research)
Participation is free of charge, please register before 15.06.2025 using the following registration form: Link is requested.
