Opportunity for young researchers in the MONID network:
We are currently offering young scientists from the MONID community the opportunity to apply for a research fellowship in the field of disease modeling at the University of Szeged (Hungary) to complete. This will take place in collaboration with Dr. Gergely Röst, who holds a Chair of Applied and Numerical Mathematics at the University of Szeged and is Scientific Director at the National Health Safety Laboratory.
The National Health Safety Laboratory in Hungary covers a wide range of research areas, so all types of mathematical modeling related to health can be a possible topic for the fellowship.
Content: The specific research topic must fit into the program of the National Laboratory for Health Security in Hungary and target practically the same research areas that are part of MONID. Projects and research ideas that can be directly linked to the activities of MONID are particularly welcome. Details can be discussed with potential grantees on a case-by-case basis.
Duration: The scholarships are very flexible and can last between 4 and 10 months. The start date is also flexible. However, a little longer than a month must be allowed for the formalities for preparation at the university. All scholarships must be completed by February 28, 2026 at the latest.
Remuneration: An appropriate salary for the fellows can be offered.
If you are interested in a research fellowship or further information for your team, please send an e-mail to the coordination office of the modeling network for severe infectious diseases via modellierungsnetz@medizin.uni-halle.de
