The second edition of the “South-West German Infectious Disease Modelling Workshop” (SWIM) will take place on December 9, 2025 in Heidelberg. SWIM is an informal one-day workshop for scientists from the fields of modeling, epidemiology and biostatistics. The aim of the workshop is to strengthen the scientific network and, above all, to give researchers in the early stages of their careers the opportunity to present their research.
The following keynote speakers have been invited to give interesting presentations:
Dr. Felix Günther (Robert Koch Institute, Berlin/Germany)
Dr. Juliette Paireau (Institut Pasteur, Paris/France)
Prof. Sebastian Funk (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London/UK)
The event is organized by our MONID partner institutions Institute of Statistics of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases Lab of Heidelberg University. While the regional focus of the event is on Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, participants from other regions are also cordially invited!
